these are the days of lasers in the jungle

I wrote about clutter and ear wax for HTMLGIANT. A quarter of my way through life, I have resolved to tackle the important issues.

Brilliant Mike, then brilliant twice! I was going to blame the clutter on your mother, but my fingerprints are all over it.. dang.

my mom had a major blockage in her left ear recently and i went w/ her to the ear/nose/throaters. even w/ the machine on extra pull they couldn't extract and she was near tears. eventually they gave her some drops and told her to come back in like a week and shit was freed, but seeing her near tears almost caused me likewise. mind you, i've sat through 6 hr tattoo sessions, a filling w/o novocaine, and a study where i took morphine and had blood drawn every half hour for 6 hrs. w/o a lash bat. which is all to say, i feel yr pain friend.

gene, yeah, that drill gets mega. it's strange that it doesn't do damage to yr drums. yr mom's experience sounds excruciating. i hope you got paid a lot for the morphine study and didn't pay much for the non-novacained filling. one time i had to get an ear drilling right before i was playing a show and i had to vigorously demand service. rarely do i bray that hard to get something.

dad, thanks! re: fingerprints: literally and metaphorically! =)
